Some random thoughts of no import:

Marshall Crenshaw bought my college roomate and his buddies a bunch of drinks one night at a bar in Jersey. This was shortly after his first album came out, which probably was the height of his popularity. Crenshaw wasn't playing -- just there having a good time.

That first album is, well, not a classic, but a lot of fun. I didn't buy it until 15 years after it came out, when I found a vinyl copy for 25 cents in a cut-out bin.

Do you suppose The Whom will do that "she's just a girl, she's a blaargh?" song?

I would want to hear "The Kids Are Alright" and "Eminence Front." I know E.F. gets slagged by the critics, but I've always loved that song, even though I couldn't for the life of me tell you what it means.

I may be the only person on the planet who owns Roger's "McVicar" soundtrack. Haven't listened to it for 20 years, I'll bet. Loved it back then, though. Some of his best screaming since "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Is Starkey playing the drums again on this tour? I enjoyed him last time around -- more Moon-ey than Kenny Jones, but without trying to out-Moon Moon, which couldn't be done anyway.

I think it's still Zak on drums for the tour, not sure though. Next Thursday night we'll see.

Yes, you might be the only McVicar owner in the world outside of Shepard's Bush.

"She's a girl...she's a 'rrrghhhh'" is what they actually say, I think.

I think they will play EF. Wish they'd do Kids, too. But like Substitute I think they won't do Mod era songs much I'm afraid. Shame. Those are my favs.

I just passed on tickets for The Police for $250 each. It would have been at Giants Stadium in August and a real hassle to get there. I've found my limit.

I would like to see Townsend and Daltrey Sing Some Famous Band's Songs Where Half The Original Members Are Dead. That's just not a very catchy name.
